Winemaking: Grapes are harvested by hand. Harvesting takes place in September. This is a blend of 85% Sauvignon Blanc with Semillon and Flora. Semillon is a classic variety in Bordeaux blends and adds body and weight and enhances Sauvignon Blanc's gravelly, wet stone character. There is also a tiny amount of Flora in the blend. Flora is a Californian crossing of Gewurztraminer and Semillon and adds aromatic complexity. Average vine age is in excess of 40 years. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel.

Tasting Notes:
Color: Almost water white with hints of green and yellow. Star bright.
Nose: The enticingly honeyed apple nose is redolent of ripe figs and melons with nectarine, passionfruit and lime rind. A suggestion of wet gravel, akin to the aroma of pavement after the rain, rounds out the olfactory charm.
Palate: The characteristics on the nose carry forward into the wine. There is a delightful minerality and a persistent finish. Acidity is not intrusive but supports a fresh and lively, food friendly palate.
Alcohol is 14%.
Serving Temperature: 50° F
